Road Trip! Doug and I went to meet with Ev, John and Ben @ Pizzagalli. We are working with them on the Stowe Mountain Lodge, Phase II, Building D heavy timber trusses.
Well, we could pass up heading over the Spruce Camp base lodge and taking some photos...here they are...
Great room? YES maybe! One of the greatest I've seen :)
Steel joinery was needed as you can see. Double chorded scissor trusses created an 80ft span.
Heavy timber construction and peeled poles...that is what we are working on for the Camp Hayden project in Fishkill, NY. This doulgas fir log will be peeled and fabricated into a support column. Any guesses on the size of this?
