My Dream Horse Barn is a Timber Frame.

My 2 horses are wonderful and their barn is shown above, and it's okay for now. My dream for them is a timber frame working horse barn. Perhaps something like this...

The Duker Big Barn is a wonderful example of how beautiful and functional a timber frame barn can be. My horse barn will not be as large, but I love this layout.

Raising A Post & Beam Barn for The Community Harvest Project

Hand Hewn White Pine and Native Hemlock Timbers ARRIVE! Okay, where's the fork lift?

The bents are assembled on the ground prior to raising using traditional joinery - mortise & tenon with hardwood pegs.

The bents are all put together and now the raising begins!

Ready, Set, Go Vermont Timber Works!

Even the cupola is part of this post and beam frame!

Another full timber frame, custom designed, hand crafted and raised by Vermont Timber Works and ready to be completed by the general contractor and remaining subcontractors. Great Job Everyone!
