from the Southern Vermont Welcome Center hand hewn barn frame to the Vermont Teddy Bear king post truss. Vermont Timber Works has been custom designing, engineering and hand crafting heavy timber framing for over 20 years.

This heavy timber ski lodge is worth a second look...80ft octagon with douglas fir timbers and steel joinery.

Vermont Timber Works is busy, yes busy. We are thankful for this as the economy isn't being kind. We thank our referral clients and repeat architects and designers for thinking of us. We also thank our hard working and dependable crew!

Custom design and hand crafted isn't cheap, not every project is a good fit for us. Below are a few of our favorite timber projects so far from the 2009 year. With any luck, we'll raise one timber dining hall before 2010. Thank you everyone!
