Raising another timber frame....at the Olana Wagon House!

The boys are in Husdon, NY this week, raising another frame! The Olana Wagon House Project, at the Olana State Historical Site. I found a video on youtube, check it out. Very interesting place, and a very interesting man, Fred Church. http://youtube.com/watch?v=aIDHGSUsk90

Initially we were invited to work on this project because of another historical barn that we did.......The Walt Whitman Barn. LOVE those referrals.

Contacted by the Architect, Bud Motzkin of Pokorny Associates, we came up with some ideas and budgetary estimates for their review. Keeping in touch is key while waiting for the project to bid. Zandri Construction Corp was awarded the Olana Project and Greg chose us as their timber framer.

Here is our shop drawing.......to give a feel for our scope...more pictures soon!

look at that joinery, mortise and tenon with hard wood pegs (cut flush).
